The Family Office Practitioners Association Japan (FOPAJ) has introduced a new Basic Membership category and revised its membership structure to promote the sharing of practical knowledge about family offices and expand opportunities for engagement among business owners, wealth holders, and professionals.
In addition to the existing General and Professional Membership categories, the newly established Basic Membership provides a more accessible option for individuals interested in learning about family offices and staying informed about developments in the field.
With this revised structure, FOPAJ aims to accommodate a broader range of participants—from individuals exploring the family office concept to business owners and wealth holders addressing specific challenges, as well as experienced practitioners and professionals seeking to contribute their expertise.
New Membership Categories
Under the revised membership structure, FOPAJ offers three membership categories.
Basic Membership (New)
Basic Membership is designed for individuals primarily interested in learning about family offices and accessing relevant information.
Through member reports, seminars, and event announcements, members have opportunities to gain insights into developments in Japan and internationally, as well as practical knowledge related to family office activities.
General Membership
General Membership is primarily intended for business owners, entrepreneurs, wealth holders, family members, and investors.
It provides opportunities to deepen their understanding of issues such as wealth management, business succession, international relocation, and inheritance, while exploring practical options for addressing these challenges.
Professional Membership
Professional Membership is intended for practitioners, professional advisers, financial institutions, and other organizations with specialized expertise or practical experience in family office-related fields.
Members have opportunities to contribute their expertise through participation in research groups and study sessions, collaboration on reports and seminars, publication of professional insights, and networking and cooperation with practitioners in Japan and internationally.
